Installing TWIG for FreeBSD

To install TWIG 2.2.3 for FreeBSD, connect to your Virtual Server via Telnet or SSH and do the following.

NOTE: This version of TWIG can only be installed on our Virtual Servers running the FreeBSD O/S. If your Virtual Server was ordered after Nov 22, 1999, you are likely running FreeBSD. To find out which O/S your Virtual Server is running, use the uname command:

% uname

If your Virtual Server is not already running FreeBSD, Upgrade to a New FreeBSD Virtual Server today!

  1. Install MySQL on your Virtual Server.

  2. Install PHP on your Virtual Server. TWIG requires this version of the PHP dynamic module:

    mod_php3-3.0.16-module-mysql-imap.so
    

  3. Install the TWIG software by issuing the following command.

    % vinstall twig
    


Reading E-Mail with TWIG

After TWIG is properly installed and configured, you will be able to Read E-Mail with TWIG.
