Adding a New Domain Name
Do the following in order to add a new unregistered Domain Name
to your Virtual Server.
|
NOTE:
These directions apply only if you will be using our name servers
to resolve your new domain. If you plan to use other name servers to
resolve your domain, you are responsible for having the domain
correctly added to those name servers.
|
- Check the New Domain Name Availability
If the domain you wish to register has already been registered by someone
else, then you must choose a different domain name. If you have already
registered it for use with another hosting provider, and you now want to
use it with your Virtual Server, you must
Transfer the Existing Domain Name to your
Virtual Server.
- Order the New Domain Name or Virtual Server
Use the "ADD Domain" link in the Customer Support site if you are adding the new domain to
an existing Virtual Server.
- Register the New Domain Name
We now offer discounted Domain Registration Services.
If you do not wish to use our domain registration services, there are many
Accredited Registrars
that can register a new domain name for you.
The following
information about our name servers will be required by the registrar during the registration process.
Nameserver 1 hostname: NS1.SECURE.NET
Nameserver 1 IP address: 192.220.124.10
Nameserver 2 hostname: NS2.SECURE.NET
Nameserver 2 IP address: 192.220.125.10
